About China Glaze: China Glaze creates exciting, modern colors. They use China Clay as nail hardener resulting in long-lasting wear. Their non-thickening formula allow for excellent coverage. China Glaze has been featured in dozens of publications including Elle (with Kelly Clarkson), Lucky (with Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Nylon (with Avril Lavigne).
Application Instructions: For best results first apply a base coat to clean, bare nails. Then apply 2-3 coats of colored polish (depending on its consistency and thickness). For long lasting wear finish with a top coat.
Really like this polish. It’s subtle, but has a bold statement at the same time. Adding red glitter on top is just everything as well.
China Glaze's 'Recycle' is an extremely pretty, cool-toned, mid-tone gray creme polish. It requires two to three coats to be opaque, and it is a fairly good formulation. It looks lovely on its own, but it also is a great shade to top with glitters, etc. I usually add either top it with a white 'confetti', or a silver glitter polish on my ring fingers. It took a while to find a neutral, and sophistocated, grey-coloured polish; I have finally found it.
I bought this specifically because I realized I had no greys whatsoever, and I had been on an ombre kick last month. Got the polish, and it was nice. Slightly patchy on the first coat, so I did 2. Also, on the first coat it looks super muddy-looking, like actually brown-ish grey. It's not until you get your second coat on that you get the color in the bottle. Sadly, it chipped on the second day, after a medium amount of typing (max 2-3 hours), and it was noticeable enough that I needed to touch up. This is without basecoat or top coat, so I wasn't expecting it to last long anyway. Also, because of the medium tone, and my skin being fair, it made my nails looks stubby. I have a feeling that this would look great on medium to darker skintones because on me it also brought out the redness in my hands. Overall, not bad, not extraordinary. Would I buy it again if I could go back in time? Sure, unless I found a cheaper alternative (that wasn't mixing polishes, that is). Will I buy it again if I run out? Probably not. I've found out the hard way that greys aren't my thing, so this one will probably stay hidden behind all my other more-used China Glazes.
I realized i was lacking a grey for my collection so i went looking for one. I love this color, i did each nail different with my recent buys and this was by far my favorite and i couldn't stop looking at it. It goes on real nice, is opaque.
