Colour shown in the top right demo photo is how the polish looked on me, a purplish brown. In bright light colour shows more plummy than brown. There is also a hint of cool grey, to me it is more cool-toned than warm. I like this colour on even more than I expected, it gives a beautiful contrast to tanned skin without looking vampy. Formula was just slightly thicker than I like, but wear is the same as you would expect from OPI. 123
This was a real deception for me.
From the swatches and reviews I had seen on the Web, I was expecting a rich and warm reddish brown, as the "maroon" term was often used in the descriptions.
However, on me, it looks like a warm purple, but yet purple indeed (makes me think of a grape bubblicious color, when I was a kid, in fact); and that does not suit me well at all.
For those of you who are curious, I opened in PhotoShop a picture I took of my nails, and went to look at the hexadeciamal code of the color: "4f2539". Could give you an idea... This does not feel warm at all to me, nor anything like a maroon color.
Other than that, if you like this kind of warm purple-ish color, the polish applies well in two coats and does not seem to chip rapidly. 123
I don't know why I ordered this colour - it just seemed so odd for Spring and Summer. But I did and I tend to love deep red, fall colours anyway. Well, I put it on during the weekend and I can't stop staring at it. I love it! It is so rich and creamy - the thing it reminds me of most is chocolate cherries! It goes on so creamy and thick, completely opaque in 2 coats. It dries quickly. I've worn it all day at work, not being particularly careful and it is holding up amazing well for such a dark colour. No signs of chipping, and a very tiny bit of tip wear on my right hand. 123
