Works with conventional and water based polish - Good things worth waiting for

Posted by Lisa on 9th Dec 2014

This product is great! There is no strong smell and it is mild on fingers and nails. I develop rashes around my fingers when I use regular removers.

You have to know how to use it. NailPolishCanada.com, if you aren't including instructions when you sell this, please start doing so! I got them at health food store when I got my first tube.

    Here's what you do:
Apply a small amount of gel on each nail.
Rub it around nail with a q-tip to ensure gel covers all polish.
Wait a few minutes with gel on fingernails. The gel slowly soaks into the polish and the polish seems to expand into the gel.
Wipe the gel and soft polish with q-tip or firm cotton. You can also use an orange stick to gently wipe off polish.
    Repeat if needed.

Took me two applications of the gel and rubbing to remove my polish. I was wearing Essie base coat, 2 coats Essie, top coat, and nail art on top with Essie and OPI polish, covered in top coat again. So at least 6-7 layers of polish

Hope you two earlier reviewers give the Suncoat gel remover another try! 123

For Use With Waterbased Polish? I suspect so.

Posted by Aylene on 5th Jan 2014

I have never purchased or used this product. I suspect however, that the product reviewer of 1 star, did not use it on removing a waterbased polish. Therefore the remover did not work. Was it used for its intended purpose? If not, then the review of 1 star should be removed. 123

    Absolutely useless

Couldn't remove even a single coat of nail polish and leaves a mess on your fingers no matter what you wipe off with or how long you keep it on. Does not work at all, is better to stick with acetone instead. 123
