Ehhhhh it's not my favourite gold, but it's wearable.
This gold is on the paler side, but definitely still yellow-leaning. It's also slightly dull - not a foil finish and not sparkly, just kind of uniformly shimmery. Frost, I guess, is what you'd call the finish? TBH it reminds me of caramel sauce like you'd drizzle on ice cream, and as such I can't really get into it as a decadent, classy kind of gold. I'm taking a star off it for looking like McDonald's sundae topping, even though that's my own personal opinion and not the nail polish's fault. MY REVIEW, MY RULES. :P However, when I layered Maria Luisa by Zoya on top (yellow-gold flakies in a clear base) the combo totally rocked my world and turned 50 Years of Style into something I'd wear to a classy holiday party for sure. (Maria Luisa is discontinued btw so RUN AND GET SOME WHILE YOU CAN.) So I'll still probably wear this. And it applies fairly nicely.

Perfect gold
This is as close to a perfect gold nail polish as I've yet to find. I own others and they all lean either a little to being either cool and silvery gold or very warm yellow/orange gold. This one is right in the middle, a wonderful neutral gold. I saw another review describe it as being the perfect celebration gold, the type you associate with weddings/anniversaries/birthdays etc and I completely agree with that.
