Application Instructions: For best results first apply a base coat to clean, bare nails. Then apply 2-3 coats of colored polish (depending on its consistency and thickness). For long lasting wear finish with a top coat.

    I started to paint this on and by the time I was finished my second nail I was as giddy as a school girl. It looks amazing, unlike anything else I've seen before. The only other mattes I have are the black and grey original Zoya pixie dust which I love. But this is nothing like those. I can't really even describe it. "A blackboard with shimmer" doesn't do it justice. One * off because it chips sooner than other polishes. Orly matte top coat does help but changes the look slightly.

    I have to agree with the firt reviewer... Color is awesome & the matte is super cool, but I had chips in 4 nails not 12 hours after application. :(

    I am a China Glaze girl. I swear they make the best nailpolish and this one was no exception. The quality is great and although I own many grays, this one is unique. Matte makes it even better.

    First thing I'm going to say is this: China Glaze really should have put on the label that it's a matte. I saw it in the stores and passed it up thinking it was just another steel gray.

    I really wish I had known sooner that it was. I'm generally really late to the trends, so by the time I realized it was (I'd been wanting to try out a matte, but not in the neon colours that were all I could find localy, yuck) it wasn't available in the local stores anymore.

    Nail polish Canada to the rescue!

    I'm so glad I got this one, it looks so nice, just like stone. I'm finding it does wear out a bit quicker than some other polishes (I hear this is a common issue with mattes), but seems to last longer if I have a good base coat under it. It also sets really fast, so you have to be a little careful when you're applying it.

    All in all, I love it so much I don't mind if I have to redo it a little more often.

    It is a really nice dark-gray shade. And the matte effect makes it so unique. Let's just cross finger I could get a matte top coat and it would be perfect.

    I love that this polish has a matte finish. It's amazing. Only downfall is that it chips easily.
