Pretty colour but....

I will start off by saying I am new to nail polish so my technique does need some work, which may explain why I do not have the best first impression.
I bought this in December and have tried wearing it now two occasions I am a huge fan of the colour it a really bright pastel pink. BUT It was very sheer one the first few coats and very patchy once I built it up it took 4 coats to even it out. On fingers I was not perfect at applying it was still patchy.
Perhaps I got a dud or maybe the short comings in my own technique but it was hard to apply which is shame since the colour is very pretty. Maybe someone with more experience would find this a wonderful polish (as it has been said in may blog reviews)
