This is the BEST volumizing product I've EVER used (and I've tries them all), and the WORST dry shampoo. I agree completely with the reviewer who said that this is nothing like the other Batiste dry 'poos. She's totally right on with everything she said. But don't write this product off. This really does keep it's promise off XXL Volume, and just the fact that it's true to it's name makes me like it (so few products are).
I use this spray VERY sparingly in the shaft (mid length) of my hair. NEVER at the roots. Flip your hair upside down and give it one or two short blasts. Then flip back up, and toss all of your hair to one side, spray another short blast and repeat on the other side. I promise, you'll change your mind. This is just one of those products that you have to learn to 'work with', but it's very simple.
Most recently I tried, and liked, Bumble and Bumble dry spun volumizing spray. It's stupidly expensive, and doesn't work nearly as well as XXL.
THE BEST. Love this stuff.

I got the Batiste XXL Volumizing Dry Shampoo the other day to help add texture to my hair when trying to back comb. The shipping was super fast compared to the other places I shop online and my order came with a llollipop which made me smile. The product itself is in an attractive container and I do believe it took all the oil out of my hair and added the texture I desire. However I wasn't too keen on the smell of the product itself or just how much like hair spray it felt in my hair. (A bit too much hold) All in all for what I got it for it is a 5 star product (minus the smell which isn't unpleasant but also not appealing) Next time I want to try one of the normal dry shampoos from Batiste for when I just want to freshen my hair without all that hold.

I've tried ALL (literally ALL) dry shampoos on the market. Batiste is the best out of all of them. It does leave a powder'y film on your hair so obviously don't touch your hair. You shouldn't be anyways because it stimulates the scalp and produces more oil. Anyways, I bought xxl figuring I would give it a shot, as volumizing powders are awful to wash out. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I use it on my hair even when its clean to give me more volume on a night out. Honestly I would probably die without it now. BUY IT.

I love the regular Batiste dry shampoos. I figured, having fine hair, that I'd try this one for extra volume. BIG mistake. It feels like I've sprayed a whole can of hairspray in my hair. It's super dry, and very tangled, to the point that I can barely massage it into my roots, as is directed with this and the other dry shampoos. Huge disappointment.
